It’s February (already!) which means we have officially entered Valentine’s Day season in the food blogging universe! I love cooking desserts and sweets, so I’ve pulled together some of my most popular recipes for the big day.
ALL THESE DESSERTS CAN BE MADE IN ADVANCE = Less stress!
Much like other big dates when we want to impress (Christmas and Thanksgiving I am looking at you), Valentine’s Day is the sort of occasion when even people who don’t usually cook dust off their apron in an attempt to impress the love of their life.
The problem is of course, that things can and inevitably do go wrong. That’s why it’s useful to have things prepared well in advance, a) because you’ll look totally suave and relaxed which is sure to impress your date, and b) you’ll be free to spend time at the table, rather than in the kitchen. Win-win!
There’S something for everyone!
I’ve picked 7 Perfect Valentine’s Desserts (lucky number, am I right?) and they’re all different. Whether you cook up a Decadent Dark Chocolate Tart, delicate Raspberry and White Chocolate Eclairs or perfectly Pink Champagne Panna Cotta, they all have one thing in common, they’re the ideal end to a romantic meal.
Check out these easy Recipes for Valentine’s Day dessertS And let me know what you think in the comments below!
Pink Champagne Panna Cotta
Pink Champagne Panna Cotta with a layer of creamy, delicious vanilla panna cotta, topped with a bright, jewel-like rosé jelly is a wonderful after dinner treat, and the perfect dessert for a party or a special occasion.
Easy Double Chocolate Fondants
Easy Chocolate Fondants, aka Fondant au Chocolat or chocolate lava cakes. This foolproof, restaurant-quality recipe gives perfect results every time!
Viennese Coffee Panna Cotta
The perfect way to round off a meal, these Panna Cotta were inspired by the Austrian Franziskaner coffee. Served with a big dollop of cream and a grating of chocolate, they are naughty but so good!
Rosé Vanilla Poached Apricots
Rosé Vanilla Poached Apricots are a truly wonderful, summery dessert. Red speckled apricots poached in vanilla-scented rosé wine are so aromatic and so good. Serve with a big scoop of ice cream and some buttery homemade shortbread.
Raspberry White Chocolate Eclairs
Sweet, light and dangerously addictive, Raspberry White Chocolate Eclairs with fresh raspberries, pastry cream and white chocolate are the perfect bake for your next party or afternoon tea.
Decadent Dark Chocolate Tart
This is a very sophisticated dessert, however it is surprisingly simple to throw together. It requires very little hands on time, but you do need to allow a couple of hours for the tart to chill and set. I like to make my own chocolate pastry (So easy! So good!) but even if you have a pastry making phobia you can still make this tart with a crushed biscuit base.
Summer Berry Chocolate Tarts
Dark chocolate pastry, rich, tangy sour cream filling topped with swirls of sweet summer berries. Take my word for it, Summer Berry Chocolate Tarts are as delicious as they are beautiful.
